My first reaction was to roll on the floor in a fit of laughter at the poor quality of art. There's some stuff in there from back in sixth grade! My second reaction was: What the heck is with these names?!? I'm never really aware of it when I name a WIP. I guess it just comes as second nature to name my files "FEAR-E lolollololol =_=," "Phonegg," "Prahcteese,"Humpback Kaaabi," and so forth. The folder is even named "Drawn Images With At LEast A Little Effort" (bad capitalization included). It really makes me wonder how I'd ever find anything without those nifty thumbnails.
The next thing I did was visit my account on the first-ever art community I joined, Fanart-Central.net. I made it around the end of fourth grade, when I was obsessed with drawing Sonic. (By the way, there is NO WAY I'm ever telling you my account name.) Some bad memories of being a weeaboo are resurfacing...
Anyway, all of this has made me feel like doing one of those timelines. You know, the things where you show your work from year x to year y to have an overview of your progress over time. And in a couple of years, I could make a new one and laugh at my art as it is now. Actually, I think I'll be laughing at my art right now pretty soon if I work hard enough.
Whenever you're feeling down about your art, look through some of your old pictures. Regardless of how many times you've sifted through the pile of old paper, you still might be surprised. You're always growing as an artist, even if it's just little by little.

Once upon a time, there was a little mochi who could.
...But then he got eaten.
